Created in 1983 as Sumitrans Corporation from the Logistics division of Sumitomo Corporation of Americas, Sumisho Global Logistics is a full-service global transportation company licensed with the Federal Maritime Commission as an Ocean Transportation Intermediary “OTI.”
Building upon our experience as the in-house Logistics division of one of Japan’s largest trading companies, we are positioned to handle the most demanding international shipments and schedules. We are tenacious in reducing delay and press for on-time delivery at every step. With top-flight people and a company-wide commitment to exceeding our customers’ needs, Sumisho Global Logistics brings capability and service beyond expectations.

SGL is proud to be a CTPAT member since 2008. CTPAT or “Customs Trade Partnership against Terrorism” is a voluntary government and business program whereby members must meet minimum security standards and practices recommended by U.S. Customs and Border Protection in order to prevent unauthorized access to the supply chain and ensure security throughout.
